O!Mega Taste culinary battle of chefs to be held for Vladivostok residents on Fisherman's Day
The main ingredient of the dishes, as claimed by the culinary battle hosts, will be fresh wild pollock caught by RFC fishermen in the Far Eastern seas. Each participant is expected to prepareat least 700 servings of their dish and present them to the guests of the regional Fisherman's Day.
Guests at RFC venue on Fisherman's Day will enjoy three exciting dishes: a wok dish with pollock by Aleksandr Kazakevich, chef at Millionka restaurant; guo bao rou with pollock by Vladimir Kozhevin, chef at Cantina; and tom yam with pollock by Egor Anisimov, chef at Zuma.
"I am thrilled that we are participating in the professional Fisherman's Day celebrations, which will take place in the heart of Primorye. Pollock is our primary catch. Despite this, Far Eastern pollock remains an underappreciated part of our diet. I hope that this upcoming event will reintroduce many people to our wonderful wild white fish. Taste pollock in all its forms and variations and check out our product. We are investing heavily in the advanced processing of pollock. This year, we participate in Fisherman's Day festivities to promote the wonderful wild white fish across the Russian Federation."
O!Mega Taste culinary pollock festival was held in the Primorsky Krai from May 15 to June 4. Thirty cafes and restaurants from Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk, Kamchatka, and Buryatia participated in it. Russian Fishery Company supplied 10 tons of advanced-processed pollock fillet for preparation of the festival's culinary masterpieces.
The festival was hosted by the Russian Fishery Company (RFC), Gastronomic Map of Russia, and Visit Primorye. It was supported by the Primorsky Krai Government and comprised a restaurant festival and a citywide celebration.
