RFC and Sweet Life Group Join Forces to Develop Pollock Product Manufacturing

04/08/2026
April 8, 2026, Moscow—The Russian Fishery Company (RFC) and Sweet Life Group have signed a bilateral agreement on a strategic partnership aimed at advancing the production of deep-processed pollock products.

The agreement supports the creation of reliable supply chains, the development of innovative products, and the promotion of a stronger fish consumption culture. Between 2026 and 2028, Sweet Life Group’s preliminary demand for deep-processed pollock raw materials (including fillets, surimi, roe, and minced fish) is set at 3,000 tons. The parties have also committed to regularly developing new product lines to keep consumer interest high, while upholding strict standards of product quality and safety.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to jointly design and implement long-term projects focused on improving operational efficiency, deepening communication between commercial units, and building a more differentiated product range.

Special attention will go to marketing and PR efforts that help popularize pollock products. The partners will also support initiatives to take part in the annual

"We continue to expand the ‘from catch to grocery shelf’ strategy we successfully launched in 2024, which has already helped consumers appreciate the high quality and natural composition of wild, tasty, and healthy pollock. Teaming up with key market players is a strategic move for the entire Russian fishing industry. Together, we are building a unified ecosystem that guarantees stable supply, consistent quality across the entire chain, and ongoing development of the pollock product range. Our common goal is to make pollock products an affordable, healthy, and high-quality part of every Russian family’s diet,"

commented Konstantin Globenko, General Director of the Russian Fishery Company LLC.

"Since 2017, our company has been developing its own fish and seafood production under the Rybnoe Delo brand. We work directly with industry leaders—the largest fishing companies—and produce over 4,500 tons of high-quality products each year, supplying excellent fish and seafood to restaurants and cafés across 29 regions of Russia, as well as to our holding’s supermarkets. Our Spar and Smart stores welcome more than 700,000 visitors daily, and we regularly receive high praise for the quality of products on our fish counters. We’ve thoroughly studied the demand and preferences of Russian customers in both wholesale and retail. By combining our trade expertise, production, logistics, and marketing capabilities with the scale of a major supplier, we can achieve positive results in making domestic fish products popular and accessible while ensuring a steady supply of high-quality pollock to the HoReCa market where Sweet Life Foodservice operates, as well as to Spar, Eurospar, and the Smart discounter network managed by Sweet Life Group,"

added Alexey Bazyl, General Director of Sweet Life Foodservice LLC.
