05/20/2026
The 4th gastronomic O!Mega Taste Pollock Festival is held from May 18 to June 5, 2026, traditionally in three formats: restaurant, city, and retail. The annual pollock festival is supported by the Government of Primorsky Krai. It is organized by the Russian Fishery Company (RFC), Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye), National Center “Russia” in Primorsky Krai, and the Gastronomic Map of Russia federal project.

Key events:

  • From May 18 to June 5, the festival is held in Vladivostok's restaurants.
  • From May 14 to June 5, the festival takes place in retail chains overall Russia (Samberi, Auchan, O’KEY, Perekrestok, and Moscow on the Wave markets).
  • From 18 May to 5 June, the favorite crab filling will be branded with the O!Mega Taste festival label in the Russian fast food café chain “Kroshka-Kartoshka.”

  • June 3, O!Mega dinner is held by three chefs at the Vinoterra steakhouse restaurant: Brand Chef of More Seafood Bar Yuri Kryuchkov, Chef of the Vinoterra restaurant Maksim Prokopyev, and Chef of the Uliss Asia restaurant Andrey Kuzlyakin (Vladivostok).

For the first time, students of the Primorsky Krai culinary colleges take part in the festival. The first O!Mega Battle professional skills competition is held in collaboration the Ministry of Vocational Education and Employment of Primorsky Krai, the Chef and Pastry Business regional educational and methodological association, and Vladivostok restaurant chefs. The qualifying stages have already taken place. As a result, Vladivostok major restaurant chefs have selected 6 participants from specialized culinary colleges who will compete for the Mintalier title, the world’s best pollock chef. The finals of O!Mega Battle will be held on May 30 at the site of the O!Mega Taste city gastronomic festival.

The festival mission is to introduce pollock into all segments of the Russian food service and hospitality industry, while building a culture of pollock consumption among Russians of all ages.

The festival develops the hospitality industry and raises the region's traveler appeal. Pollock, a humble fish from the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, already occupies a central place in the Russian food culture. Last year, chefs created more than 100 new recipes during the festival, and the organizers are confident that some of those favorite dishes will definitely return, while new culinary masterpieces will also be offered to residents and guests of Moscow and Vladivostok.

The partners of the festival are: the Pollock Catchers Association (which implements the country’s first program to promote the category fish brand Far Eastern Pollock), RusQuality organization promoting fish products, the Fish Union, Fishery Shipowners Association (FSA), Meridian processing companies, VICI, Putina, Agama, KVEN, Eksprodov, and Sweet Life Group.
