O!Mega Taste pollock festival wins special Gastronomic Route of the Year category at Route Built award of Komsomolskaya Pravda publication
The first-ever O!Mega Taste pollock festival in Russia won a special nomination from the Rospotrebnadzor's Healthy Food initiative. Pollock dishes captivated the hearts of locals and visitors in Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsk, as well as the professional community. This highlights the significance and value of the O!Mega Taste pollock festival.
Route Built is a unique national award by the Komsomolskaya Pravda Media Group aimed at promoting domestic tourism. It not only serves as an accolade for those contributing significantlyto the travel industry but also offers a comprehensive guide to the most fascinating locations across our vast country.
The Route Built Award took place for the second time in the 2022–2023 season. The nominees includes individuals, businesses, cultural institutions, projects, and brands that enhance, enrich, and make traveling in our homeland more comfortable. The award experts were the readers of KP.RU website and the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, as well as the listeners of Radio KP.The readers voted for the nominees, while the knowledgeable jury consisting of the representatives of the tourism sector, public organizations, and cultural figures selected the winners from the finalists determined by the public vote.
O!Mega Taste culinary pollock festival was held in the Primorsky Krai from May 15 to June 4. Thirty cafes and restaurants from Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk, Kamchatka, and Buryatia participated in it. Russian Fishery Company supplied 10 tons of advanced-processed pollock fillet for preparation of the festival's culinary masterpieces.
Pollock is a unique, natural, eco-friendly product that is easy to cook. It can develop new taste profiles on its own or when combined with other ingredients.
Pollock dishes created a wow effect at O!Mega Taste Festival and have since been included in restaurant menus. Restaurant chefs have turned the relatively unexplored, yet nutritious pollock into true culinary works of art.
The Russian Fishery Company (RFC), Visit Primorye, and the Gastronomic Map of Russia hosted the festival. It was supported by the Primorsky Krai Government and comprised a restaurant festival and a citywide celebration.
